Miami 114 Utah 116, in OT: The Jazz came back from 22-points down to defeat the Miami Heat in overtime handing Miami their first home loss of the season. Amazingly the Jazz beat the Heat without Deron Williams in the last remaining minutes of the fourth quarter and the entire overtime period because Williams had fouled out. Paul Milsap was the key contributor for the Jazz scoring 46 points, including the game-tying bucket at the buzzer in the 4th quarter. Amazingly Francisco Elson won the game for the Jazz when he was fouled with 0.04 seconds left in overtime with the game tied and Elson sunk both free throws.
Indiana 144 Denver 113: The Pacers destroyed the Nuggets on Tuesday night behind a record 3rd quarter. The Pacers scored 54 points in the third quarter alone going 20-for-21 on their field goals in the quarter with a Josh McRoberts 3-point shot with time running out being the only miss for the quarter. The Pacers would go on to beat Denver by 31 points. Mike Dunleavy and Darren Collison were the leading scores for the Pacers, but the entire team dissected the Nuggets. Even Tyler Hansbrough had 20 points off the bench for Indiana.
New Orleans 101 Los Angeles Clippers 82: With the victory on Tuesday night, the New Orleans Hornets remain undefeated on the year at 7-0. Reserve guards Willie Green and Jarryd Bayless combined to score 19 points in the fourth quarter to give the Hornets the victory. Chris Paul had 13 points and eight assists on the night. The Hornets are surging at the moment and hopefully that will keep Chris Paul happy long enough to forget the fact he wanted traded out of New Orleans.
Milwaukee 107 New York 80: The Bucks were averaging an NBA worse 89.6 points per game heading into their contest with the Knicks. So what happened? Of course they go off for 100 points including scoring 41 points in the first quarter of of 68 percent shooting. Brandon Jennings scored 19 points for the night with six assists. Drew Gooden added 17 points and this sweet dunk.
Create a Caption: I would have personally put a bag over my head after that 3rd quarter performance.
Paul Milsap draining 3-pointers with time running out was amazing to watch.
