Video of the Day: This Is Why You Shouldn't Call Anyone a "Bitch"

Before the Reds-Cardinals series ever started, Brandon Phillips of the Reds called the Cardinals "Bitches." He said they complain and bitch about everything. Is he wrong? I've a few Cardinals games this year and they do bitch a lot, especially Chris Carpenter. There's also history between both managers going back to their days in the Bay Area. Tony LaRussa is a animal rights lover and Dusty Baker likes to hunt. So it doesn't surprise me at all that these two teams started jawing at each other in the bottom of the first inning.

In the bottom of the 1st inning Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina and Phillips started jawing at each other in the batter's box. The idiot home plate umpire just let them jaw at each other and didn't step in before the whole thing escalated. Of course the benches cleared and we had more players jawing at each other.

Things really escalated when Scott Rolen went after teammate Chris Carpenter and Tony LaRussa and Dusty Baker went after each other. While the umpires didn't throw anyone out of the game Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto will certainly be suspended. Video showed Cueto leaning against the backstop and kicking at Cardinals players. There will certainly be some intense moments today between the Red and Cardinals.

The brawl fired up the Cardinals as they beat the Reds 8-4 and are now tied with Cincinnati in the NL Central.

Lesson learned from this whole ordeal, don't call an entire team a "bitch." They won't like that very much which will lead to confrontations and a pitcher kicking at players while leaning against the backstop.
