Cincinnati 3 St. Louis 7: The Cardinals scored all seven runs in the fourth inning with all seven runs coming off of Reds pitcher Mike Leake. Skip Schumaker hit a grand slam in that fourth inning. Chris Carpenter picked up the win going seven innings giving up five hits, two runs, and striking out five. The Cardinals are now one game back of the Reds in the NL Central.
Baltimore 3 Chicago 2, 10 Innings: Someone stop the Orioles. They've gone 6-1 since Buck Showalter was hired as the manager tieing Earl Weaver for the Baltimore record. Brian Roberts finally returned to the Orioles and then hit the game-winning home run in the tenth inning. The Orioles are on fire!
Detroit 3 Tampa Bay 6: Matt Joyce homered and drove in two runs to help the Rays snap their five-game losing streak. David Price struggled with his command and gave up two runs in five innings but still picked up the victory.
Houston 10 Atlanta 4: Jason Hayward hit a home run on his 21st birthday joining Alex Rodriguez and Frank Robinson as the only players to hit home runs on their 21st birthday. The Braves still lost and it's no surprise since the Braves are 25-32 on the road. They better pray they get home field advantage in the playoffs. Chris Johnson drove in three runs for the Astros and Carlos Lee also had two RBIs.
Milwaukee 4 Arizona 7, 10 Innings: The Diamondbacks tied the game in the ninth inning off a Gerardo Parra single off of Brewers closer John Axford. Stephen Drew knocked in the game-winning runs in the tenth inning with a single. Drew knocked in those runs off of Trevor Hoffman. Not exactly a dignified way to go out for Hoffman.
Seattle 3 Oakland 1: Busy day for the Mariners. They fire their coach, promote the Triple-A manager, turn a triple play against the A's, and actually won a game.
San Francisco 4 Chicago 3: On Grateful Dead Night, the Giants somehow defeated the Chicago Cubs. Carlos Zambrano finally started a game since going crazy in the dugout and he promptly walked seven batters and picked up the no-decision. The Giants left 11 men on base but somehow scored enough runs to send the game to extra innings. In the bottom of the 11th, Pat Burrell knocked in the game-winning run off a sacrifice fly.

I loved Brandon Phillips calling the Cardinals "Bitches."
