Foul Ball: The Giants Great Escape & An Epic Choke By the Dodgers

San Francisco 8 Chicago 7: The Cubs probably can't get out of San Francisco fast enough. In a four game series, the Cubs lost two of the games on walkoff's. It did come at a price though as the Giants relievers blew a four-run lead in the eighth inning. Andres Torres hit a ground-rule double with the bases loaded to drive in the winning run of the game. Pat Burrell hit two home runs in the game including a grand slam and Pablo Sandoval hit his first home run since June.

New York 4 Colorado 0: One day after Francisco Rodriguez used his father-in-law as a pinata, the Mets thankfully didn't need a closer on Thursday. Johan Santana pitched a complete game shutout giving up only four hits and striking out ten. Four different Mets players drove in runs during the game.

Toronto 6 Boston 5: There is nothing quite like Jonathon Papelbon blowing a save. He acts like the biggest douche so it feels like poetic justice when he blows a save. Papelbon blew a four-run lead in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Blue Jays on Thursday. Fred Lewis knocked in the winning run with a sacrifice fly.

Cleveland 4 Baltimore 1: Well I guess the Orioles can't win every game.

Milwaukee 8 Arizona 6: Casey McGehee set a Brewers record with nine straight hits. McGehee had a solo homer, a two-run double, an RBI single and another single. McGehee only needs three more hits to tie the MLB record and four more to break the record. McGehee also scored three runs and helped the Brewers avoid the four-game sweep at the hands of the Diamondbacks. Old man Randy Wolf picked up the victory for Milwaukee.

Philadelphia 10 Los Angeles 9:  Only the Dodgers could blow a 9-2 lead. The Dodgers lead 9-2 in the eighth inning and gave up four runs in the eighth and ninth innings. Noted Phillies bitch Jonathon Broxton gave up the final four runs including the last two driven in by Carlos Ruiz off a double.

Chicago 1 Minnesota 6: The Twins took two out of three games from Chicago and now are tied with the White Sox in the AL Central standings. Jason Kubel drove in three runs and homered. Orlando Hudson also homered and scored on a balk.

Video of the Day: Yesterday we had the awful Eddie Vedder Cubs song, today Scott Stapp's awful Marlins song.
