Foul Ball: Doc Halladay Loses & The Brewers Own The Pirates

New York Mets vs. Los Angeles: Postponed

San Francisco 5 Philadelphia 1: It's nice to see a team besides the Giants strand runners in scoring position. The Phillies left 11 base runners in scoring position in a loss against the Giants. Roy Halladay lost his first NL game giving up 10 hits, five runs, in seven innings. Eli Whiteside went 2 for 3 with two RBI's and a home run off of Halladay. Jonathon Sanchez didn't pitch his best game, but it was enough to pick up the victory for the Giants.

Milwaukee 17 Pittsburgh 3: Check out this stat. The Brewers have outscored the Pirates 53-4 in their last four meetings, including a three-game sweep in Pittsburgh last week during which Milwaukee outscored the Pirates 36-1—including a 20-0 rout on Thursday. The Pirates are who we thought they were. Even the Brewers pitcher Yovani Gallardo had five hits and four RBI's in the game against the Pirates.

Toronto 12 Boston 13: Jason Varitek had four RBIs for the Red Sox in their victory over the Blue Jays in a wild game in Toronto. Boston set a season high in runs, hits (18) and played in the longest game of the year so far this season (4 hours, 3 minutes.) Also some good news for the Red Sox, Dice-K will make his season debut on Saturday versus the Orioles.

Chicago Cubs 4 Washington 3, 10 innings: Only the Natinals could lose a game off a walkoff walk in the tenth inning. Natinals reliever Brian Bruney walked Aramis Ramirez with the bases loaded in the tenth inning to give the Cubs the victory.

St. Louis 4 Atlanta 3: After the last night's loss to the Cardinals, the Braves have know lost six straight games. Yadier Molina knocked in Colby Rasmus in the eighth inning to snap a 3-3 tie to give the Cardinals the victory. Braves phenom Jason Heyward is in a 1-for-17 slump.

Texas 6 Detroit 8: Neftali Feliz gave up back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning to Brandon Inge and Miguel Cabrera to pick up the loss for the Rangers. Jose Valverde picked up his sixth save in seven opportunities for the Tigers.

Florida 10 San Diego 1: The Padres finally lost a game. Marlins pitcher Josh Johnson shut down the Padres in nine innings giving up only three hits, 1 run, 1 walk, while striking out 12. Johnson alson knocked in three RBIs in the game. Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla both homered in the game for the Fish.

Video of the Day: For some reason, I love baseball team commercials. This is a vintage 1995 Florida Marlins commercial.
