First congratulations to the Chula Vista little league team for winning the Little League World Series.9 San Francisco 5 Colorado: How about that? The Giants go from a heart breaking loss on Monday and four games out of the Wild Card, to a sweep of the Rockies and tied for the Wild Card. This was a particularly odd game and not because I was in attendance. Matt Cain struggled in the game giving up four runs including two homers. Now the Giants usually don't come back from three-run deficits. There's just not enough offense on that team. But Sunday was different. Edgar Renteria hit a seventh inning Grand Slam to give the Giants the one run lead. Then the Giants some how scored three more runs. AT&T Park was electric yesterday and I'm proud that I attended that game. No matter what happens to this team for the rest of the season.
I was so happy about yesterday's Giants game that I have to share this video. The whole crowd started singing this song after Renteria's homer.
7 Boston 0 Toronto: I think Roy Halladay could have used that change of scenery. He's now lost three straight starts as Boston takes a 3.5 game lead over Texas for the AL Wild Card. HGH user Paul Byrd went six innings giving up three hits, no runs, and one strikeout for the Red Sox. After all though Boston is used to having roid users on their team. Kevin Youkilis drove in three runs for Boston in the game.

5 Minnesota 3 Texas: With Boston picking up the win, Texas needed a win against the Twins. And mistakes killed them. Trailing 3-2 in the eighth, Minnesota took the lead with a walk, three singles, a squeeze bunt, and an error. Texas is now 3.5 games behind Boston for the wild card.
2 St. Louis 1 Washington: I know there has been a lot of talk about Tim Lincecum or Chris Carpenter winning the NL Cy Young, but what about Adam Wainwright? Wainwright leads the majors with 16 wins and has a 2.50 ERA. Wainwright picked up his latest win against the Natinals going six innings giving up three hits and one run.

4 Detroit 3 Tampa Bay: The Tigers are looking like the same team that reached the world series a couple of years ago. Placido Polanco hit a two-out three-run homer in the eighth inning to give Detroit the victory. Justin Verlander went eight innings giving up six hits, three runs, and four strikeouts.
8 New York 3 Chicago: A day after Ozzie Gueillen blasts his team through the press, the White Sox respond by getting swept by the Yankees. Johnny Damon homered and Mrs. Teixeria also homered and drove in four runs for the Yankees. The White Sox have now lost three straight and eight of their last ten games. They are now behind both Detroit and Minnesota in the AL Central.
4 Milwaukee 1 Pittsburgh: I only mention this game because the Brewers have now beat Pittsburgh 21 straight times at home. It's the second longest home win streak against a single team in the history of baseball.
Create a Caption: For a team that can hit a ton, Colorado doesn't know how to run the bases. Two Rockies players were caught in run-downs on Sunday and one was picked off trying to steal 2nd.
That song.....ugh! Whatever happened to take me out to the ball game??
