Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap5 Colorado 4 Los Angeles in 10: Even though Colorado suckered punched the Giants and myself on Monday, I will continue to root for them against the Dodgers. I like the Rockies even more now since they are only two games behind the Dodgers in the NL West. Watching the Dodgers fall apart brings me great joy, kind of like how the Mets pain brings JFein great joy. So rock on, Colorado.
5 San Francisco 4 Arizona: The Giants actually held onto the lead in this game. But once again the starting pitcher(Matt Cain) gets absolutely no run support, pitches his guts out, and picks up the no decision. Travis Ishigawa lifted the tattered spirits of the Giants players by hitting a tiebreaking three-run home run in the eighth inning. To say the Giants needed that win is a understatement.
10 Texas 9 New York: The Yankees jumped off to a four run lead off of Texas in the first inning. But the Rangers came back to score two runs in the second and five runs in the fourth. The Yankees made things interesting when they scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth. But Melky Cabrera hit into a double play to end the game. As of this moment, Texas is a game and a half behind Boston in the AL Wild Card standings.

6 Pittsburgh 4 Philadelphia: Both closers couldn't hold onto leads in this game. Thankfully for the Pirates they had a chance to redeem themselves in the bottom of the ninth after blowing the lead. Andrew McCutchen hit a game-winning two-run home run off of the launching pad known as Brad Lidge.
5 Detroit 3 Los Angeles: Jarrod Washburn finally won his first game for Detroit. Washburn went six innings giving up eight hits and three runs. Miguel Cabrera had three hits in the game including a homer and two RBI's. Leyland can light a smoke as Detroit takes a four and a half game lead over Chicago and Minnesota in the AL Central.
2 Florida 1 New York: Just what the Fish needed. A visit from the pathetic Mets. Of course though this win shouldn't count because injuries have destroyed the Mets season and has turned this team into a Triple-A team. The latest news that came out of New York was the fact that Johan Santana needed season ending elbow surgery.
