Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap
8 Pirates 7 Brewers: Pittsburgh hit a season-high five home runs in their win against Milwaukee. It's the first series win for Pittsbugh over Milwaukee in over two years. Brandon Moss hit the game-winning home run in the ninth inning. By the way, Pirates traded first baseman Adam LoRoche during the middle of the game. Where are you Brian Sabean?
6 Yankees 4 Orioles: A.J. Burnett won his fourth straight decision of the year as the Yankees swept Baltimore. Nick Swisher drove in two runs in the game and made three spectacular plays in the outfield after a third inning error. Aubrey Huff went 0 for 5 with three strikeouts in the game. He gets the Pat Burrell Award for the day.
10 Cubs 5 Phillies: Aramis Ramirez and Jeff Baker each had two-run doubles and Carlos Zambrano won his third straight decision to help the Cubs avoid a sweep in Philadelphia. Cubs SS Ryan Theroit stole three bases and the Cubs knocked in two runs off of Brad Lidge in the ninth inning. Kelly Gregg came into the game in the eighth inning with two outs and two on and promptly forced Ryan Howard to ground out. Oh yeah, the water cooler was safe from Zambrano.
16 A's 1 Twins: I think this is what Billy Beane expected from his lineup at the beginning of the season. The A's pounded the Twins for 12 runs in the first two innings. Eight different A's players drove in runs during the game. Also it's nice to see Matt Holliday finally hitting. Trevor Cahill and his 12-year-old look allowed six hits and one run to pick up the victory.
2 Mariners 1 Tigers: Ladies killer Russell Branyan hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning to give the Mariners the victory. King Hernandez went seven innings for the Mariners giving up one run and six hits.
3 Nationals 1 Mets: Look the Nationals are on a winning streak! But they are playing the Mets. Some guy named Craig Stammen went 7 1/3 innings giving up one run and four hits. Josh Willingham hit a tie-breaking two-run home run in the sixth inning. How bad are the Mets? The Nationals left seven men on base and still beat the Mets.
4 Braves 2 Giants: Still waiting for a trade...........
3 Rangers 1 Red Sox: Where's that panic button? The Red Sox were swept in Texas and the Yankees took full control over the AL East. The Red Sox have now lost five in a row. Ian Kinsler homered for the Rangers and Dennis Nippert pitched into the sixth inning to pick up the win. Jason Varitek and the Red Sox pitching staff had six bases stolen on them during the game.
4 Astros 3 Cardinals: The other Texas team completed a sweep on Wednesday night. Miguel Tejada drove in the winning run in the ninth inning to help Houston complete the sweep. And former Phillie Chris Coste tied the game in the ninth with a double. St. Louis killed their chances for the victory by hitting into three double plays.

Good thing these guys have never been to the Winchester House. Or they would never play in Oakland or San Francisco.
