Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap5 Cardinals 1 Brewers: The Cardinals scored all of their runs in the eighth inning. Ryan Ludwick hit a three-run home run and Albert Pujols doubled in the winning run. St. Louis increased their lead in the NL Central over Milwaukee by two games. Joel Pineiro threw a complete game for St. Louis.
6 Yankees 4 Twins: Minnesota will probably be happy to never see the Yankees again. Because they were swept in the season series by the Yankees. Mr. Leigh Teixieria finally hit a home run after going 23-straight games without one. Mariano Rivera picked up his 23rd save of the season.
3 Rays 2 Blue Jays: So do teams still want Roy Halladay? Probably, but he did lose to the Rays yesterday. But no one was going to get a hit off of David Price yesterday. Price went six innings giving up one run and seven strikeouts. Tampa Bay swept Toronto and are only 4.5 games behind New York in the wild card standings.
9 Giants 3 Padres: Bengie Molina, Juan Uribe, and Travis Ishigawa each homered in the game for the Giants. Tim Lincecum looked like the God that he is. Lincecum went 6 2/3 innings giving up three hits, three runs, and eight strikeouts. The real All-Star Pablo Sandoval had two RBI's in the game. Oh yeah, Lincecum took a no-hitter into the seventh.

14 Marlins 7 Diamondbacks: Things have gone from bad to worse for Arizona. Up by seven runs, the Diamondbacks allowed the Marlins to make a comeback. Florida even scored 10 runs in the eighth inning. Three different Marlins players homered in the game and four Marlins players had 2 RBI's or more. My friend Emilio committed his 14th error of the season during the game.
11 Dodgers 2 Mets: The Dodgers scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back. The O-Dog had three RBI's in the game to go along with Man-Ram's two. The Dodgers though did show some really bad base running in the game. Matt Kemp was picked off at first and two other Dodgers players were thrown out by outfield assists.
9 Astros 4 Nationals: The Natinals lost again. And the Big Puma homered in the game.
8 Royals 6 Red Sox: The Royals rallied from a four-run deficit, to beat the Red Sox. David DeJesus hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the sixth inning. The Royals also stole three bases off of Jason Varitek. David Ortiz hit his 11th home run of the season in the game.
