Halladay pitched a six-hitter allowing one run, no walks and seven strikeouts. Rod Barajas drove in all three runs for Toronto in the game. This could very well be the last time Halladay pitches in Toronto.
Terry Francona Quote, from the AP: “I stand by what I said the other day,” Red Sox manager Terry Francona joked. “They should have traded him the other day, and to a National League team.” I think the entire AL East feels the same way.
5 Phillies 0 Marlins: The swimming mammals reached base eight times, but were never able to score. Phillies pitcher J.A. Happ went seven innings giving up no runs and five hits. Pedro "I never hit in the clutch" Feliz committed two errors in the game. Roid Ibanez drove in two runs for the Phillies in the game.
Fredi Gonzalez Quote, from the AP: “We dug ourselves a little hole—a big hole,” Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez said.

4 Rays 3 Royals: The Rays scored two runs in the eighth inning to sweep the Royals. The Royals walked in the winning run. The Royals went Giants Esq. and left 13 men on base in the loss and committed an error.

11 Cubs 3 Nationals: Washington has started the 2nd half the way they ended the 1st half. The Natinals were swept by the Chicago Cubs and they did it in style. 7 Braves 1 Mets: Not only did the Mets lose three out of four games in Atlanta, but another Mets player was put on the disabled list. This time pitcher Fernando Nieve was hurt in the game. If you are keeping track at home, there are eight Mets players on the DL and Nieve could make it nine.
10 Orioles 2 White Sox: The Orioles scored on a wild pitch and two walks in the game against Chicago. Jeremy Guthrie went eight innings, giving up three hits and two runs for the Orioles. The powerful Greg Zaun hit a home run in the game for Baltimore.
Quote of the Night, from Ozzie Guillen and the AP: “For a month and half we’ve been playing pretty good baseball. Today is going to happen. We couldn’t do anything (right) on the field,” White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said. “That’s just part of the game, you can’t expect the team to max out every day.”

Thanks for not mentioning the Tigers. They're flatlining, with an important homestand this week against the also offensively-challenged Mariners and the Good Guys (Hawk Harrelson'd), who'll probably leave Comerica next Sunday night with a three game AL Central lead.
