Foul Ball: THE RETURN OF MAGGLIO !!!!

Foul Ball is the your daily baseball recap

6 Tigers 5 Cubs: Magglio Ordonez magically improves his hitting by getting an hair cut. Ordonez ended his homer less streak with a go-ahead shot against the Cubs. Armondo Galarraga picked up his first win since late April.

Quote of the Century: From Jim Leyland from the AP, “If I had hair like that, I’d still be single,” Leyland joked. The Marlboro Man was talking about Ordonez's hair. but that is an aw some quote.

6 White Sox 5 Dodgers in 13: Lisa Dergan's husband knocked in the winning run for Chicago in the 13th inning. The Dodgers blew a 5-0 lead in the game. Let's just say that made my day.

6 Twins 4 Brewers: Yes! Keep losing Milwaukee for San Fransisco can increase their Wild Card lead. Joe Mauer continued his awesomeness by going 2 for 5 with an RBI. Mauer is now batting at .395 for the season. Scott Baker pitched six strong innings for Minnesota giving up four hits and three runs. The Twins left nine men on base, but still won.

9 Nationals 3 Red Sox: I don't think John Smoltz wanted to start his Boston career off by losing to Washington. Smoltz, who made his first start of the season, went five innings giving up seven hits and five runs to the NATINALS! Four Nationals players had two RBI's in the game. Surprisingly, the Nationals bullpen didn't blow the lead.

3 Mets 2 Cardinals: Johan Santana looked like his dominate self going seven innings giving up seven hits, two runs, and struck out three. Nick Evans two RBI's in the fourth inning would be the winning runs of the game. Mets catcher Omir Santos was called for a catchers interference in the game.

10 Rays 4 Phillies: Antonio Bastardo, his name translates to Bastard, was roughed up by the Rays last night. Bastardo blew an 4-run lead and gave up six runs in the first two innings. Ben Zobrist and Willie Aybar each homered for the Rays. Andy Sonnanstine settled down after giving up four runs in the first inning to pick up the victory. Tampa Bay still won despite leaving 11 men on base.

9 Rangers 8 Diamondbacks in 12: After tied the game at six, the Rangers-Diamondbacks played three innings of scoreless play. Then in the 12th inning the Diamondbacks scored two runs. Only to watch their relievers give up three runs to lose the game.
