Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap5 Phillies 3 Dodgers: Kung Fu master Chan Ho Park had a second straight strong outing for the Phillies, picking up the win over his former team. The player of the night was definitely Jayson Werth. He stole four bases, a Phillies record, including a steal home during the seventh inning. Rual Ibanez went 2-4 with two RBI's, quickly making the Phillies fans forget about Pat Burrell. Brad Lidge gave up a run in the nineth, but still picked up the save.
4 Mets 3 Braves in 10: This game had everything. Bases loaded game-winning walks, streakers, double plays, and outfield assists. The Mets tried everything in the world to lose this game. They hit into two double plays and were called out on three outfield assists. Carlos Beltran won the game by walking in the tenth inning with the bases loaded and two outs. The Braves bullpen pulled a Mets bullpen and completely fell apart in this game. Oh yeah, a naked man ran across the field with "Lets Go Mets" written in paint on his back.
5 Blue Jays 1 Yankees: Roy Halladay out pitched his former teammate A.J. Burnett. Halladay continued to dominate the Yankees by pitching a complete game five-hitter. Scott Rolen had three hits and three RBI's for Toronto. So much for that suspected pitching duel between Halladay and Burnett. Best part of the game was Johnny Damon being thrown out at second base by Travis Snider from the outfield.
9 Giants 7 Nationals: The Nationals went Natinals in this game. After coming back from a 5-1 deficit to make the score 7-5, the Natinals gave it all back. With the score at 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth, Nationals reliever Joe Biemel blew the save. With two outs, Biemel allowed Emmanuel Burris to single, then he walked Edgar Renteria. Then Pablo "Panda" Sandoval hit a game-winning three-run home run. And with the Dodgers losing to Philadelphia, the Giants are only 3 games behind LA for first place. GO PHILLIES!

12 A's 3 Royals: Kansas City continues to struggle on the West Coast. Royals pitcher Luke Hochevar went two innings giving up eight runs. Orlando Cabrera had four RBI's for the A's. Jack Cust hit a home run and the A's finally flashed what their offense was suppose to look like this season. Trevor Cahill picked up the win for Oakland.
