Foul Ball is your daily baseball recap
Three games on the East Coast were postponed because of rain. All these games being rained out reminded me of an old song by Creedence Clearwater Revival called Have You Ever Seen the Rain?
4 Blue Jays 3 Orioles: Both Alex Rios and Vernon Wells homered to help Toronto pick up the win over Baltimore. Toronto pitcher Scott Richmond went seven innings giving up five hits and three runs. Baltimore manager Dave Trembly was ejected from the game in the fifth inning for arguing balls and strikes.
3 Tigers 1 Indians: Justin Verlander looked like an ace against the Indians. But I guess any pitcher looks like an ace against the Indians. Verlander pitched in seven innings giving up two hits and one run with 11 strikeouts. Curtis Granderson provided the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning.
5 Rays 3 Red Sox: Carl Crawford made history Sunday by stealing six bases against Boston. He became the fourth player in MLB history to do this. Once again James Shields shut down Boston, this time pitching in 7 1-3 innings giving up two runs and six hits. Terrible Tampa took two out of three from Boston.

4 Brewers 3 Diamondbacks: Home runs were flying out of Miller Park on Sunday. In total five home runs were hit. But it was Prince Fielder add Mike Cameron hitting back-to-back home runs in the second inning which would prove to be the crucial runs. Trevor Hoffman picked up his third save for Milwaukee.
6 Cubs 4 Marlins: Derek Lee's grand slam in the fifth inning would be all what the Cubs needed to beat Florida. Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano had to be taken out of the game in the fifth inning. Zambrano strained his left hamstring after hitting a leadoff bunt. Kelly Gregg picked up his third save of the season for Chicago.
1 Giants 0 Rockies in 10: The Giants won the only way they know how with pitching and infield hits. In the bottom of the tenth inning Giants catcher Steve Holm drew a walk. Randy Winn moved Holm to second with a sacrafice bunt. Then Rich Aurilia drove in Holm with a single to give the Giants a win. There wins aren't pretty, but at least they are winning. More good news for the Giants, Barry Zito continues to look like his old Cy Young form. Zito pitched seven innings giving up two hits and no runs. To bad the Giants couldn't give Zito more run support because his record would be 3-1 this season if they did. Now only if those effing Dodgers would lose a game.

Carl Crawford was the man yesterday.
