There was only nine games scheduled for the day.
The Arizona-Florida game was postponed in the bottom of the fourth inning with the Marlins leading 1-0. Does anyone really care if these two team finish this game?
3 Blue Jays 2 White Sox: Chicago can't get out of Canada fast enough. They were swept by the Blue Jays north of the border. The White Sox have lost five straight and have gone 2-8 in their last ten games. Chicago tied the game in the eighth inning, but Alex Rios hit a go-ahead triple in the bottom of the eighth. Octavio Dotel picked up the loss for Chicago. I wonder what Ozzie is thinking right now?
Mt. Ozzie Quote: From the AP: “We should be embarrassed because I think we’ve got a better ballclub than we’re showing right now,” Guillen said. I also think you have a better ballclub than you are showing.
7 Yankees 6 Twins: The Twins need to get the hell out of New York. After losing three-straight walkoff games to the Yankees, they lost another one-run game. Mark Teixeira homered from both sides of the plate, combining with A-Roid for back-to-back shots in a six run first inning for the Yankees. The Twins tried for the comeback ,but were shut down by Yankees reliever Jose Veras. Texixeira's bat has warmed up lately as the Yankees have advanced up the standings in the AL East.
8 Brewers 4 Cardinals: The Brewers completed a three-game sweep over St. Louis. This series was very crucial for the NL Central standings. Before the series, St. Louis was leading the series by two games. After the series the Brewers are two games ahead of St. Louis and 1.5 games ahead of Chicago. Braden Looper picked up the victory for Milwaukee as Kyle Lohse picked up the loss for St. Louis.
Injury News: Brewers 2nd baseman Rickie Weeks is out for the season after having wrist surgery.
12 Pirates 7 Natinals: How bad are the Natinals you ask? So bad they lost 12-7 to last-place Pittsburgh. Even worse, the Natinals beat themselves. The Natinals committed four errors on routine plays-as the bullpen continues to implode for the Natinals. The Natinals blew a two-run lead in the sixth inning when they allowed the Pirates to score five runs.

When the Natinals play, they should have this music playing in the background for the entire game.
3 Dodgers 2 Mets in 11: A miserable day turned into a miserable night for the Mets. First they learn Carlos Delgado needs hip surgery, then they lost Alex Cora who is replacing Jose Reyes in the lineup. Does anyone else see this as the next excuse the Mets will use?
Anyways on to the game. Everything that could go wrong in this game did. Ryan Church's go-ahead run was taken away from the Mets because he missed third base and the Dodgers won the appeal. Then two errors by Carlos Beltran and Jeremy Reed in the 11th inning gave the Dodgers the game. Check out this statline for the Mets: 5 errors, 11 LOB, 1GIDP, and were thrown out at third base.
5 Rockies 1 Braves: Atlanta must not like playing at home because they have gone 6-11 at Turner Field. And in typical Atlanta fans fashion, only 15, 000 fans showed up to watch the Braves, the smallest crowd since 1997. Both Jason Marquis and Derek Lowe went eight innings for their respective teams, but the Braves bullpen allowed three runs in the top of the ninth. Houston Street preserved the lead for Colorado.

Lance Berkman News: Lance Berkman may take home the the Dave Kingman Award this season. "The Big Puma" is hitting .230 with eight home runs and 21 RBI's. He also has 27 stikeouts and 26 walks.
