Baseball Update: Day Baseball

Nothing like a hot summer day watching baseball. You can barbecue and drink beer and watch your favorite team. That is what summer is all about. That is of course if you are a Washington Nationals fan. Anyway, let's look at the action so far today.

- Brett Myers actually didn't self-implode and he helped the Phillies beat the Nationals in the first game of a double header. "Boom outta here." By the way, that Raul Ibanez deal is working out just fine for the Phillies. He hit two home runs in that game.

Watch this video. It will make your day.

- Old man Randy Johnson has allowed three runs in the first inning to the Mets. And with the Giants hitters and Johan Santana pitching for the Mets, this game is a New York win already.

- The Brewers beat the Cardinals 1-0 today. Here's the part that is interesting with this game. Corey Hart's homer was one of only two hits today for the Brewers. The Cardinals in the meantime, reached base eight times and was still shut out. That's San Francisco Giants bad.

- The Twins and Yankees are tied at 4 in the tenth inning. Of course the Coors Field East has allowed three home runs today. Money well spent on that stadium, New York.

- Toronto keeps winning with a pitching staff I and most of America never heard of. Some guy named Robert Ryan was able to shut down the powerful White Sox hitters.

On second thought, you might as well enjoy the sun and the water today. None of these games today have been very exciting.

On with your day!
