This according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution via College Hoops Journal, Bob Knight is interested in the vacant Georgia job.“He doesn’t want it to look as if he’s looking for work, but I can assure you that he’d like to have the job. It’s the idea of coaching a team in the Southeastern Conference that appeals to him. There are just so many things he could do for Georgia basketball. This would be his last stop, and he likes that.”
Knight who is 68, would bring the SEC what they desperately crave, attention. Knight is a polarizing figure, that brings a lot of attention, good or bad.
But if you are Georgia, why would you want Bob Knight. He hasn't won a national championship since 1987, and hasn't been to the final four since 1991. The furthest he got with Texas Tech was the elite eight.
He would bring attention, but will he bring wins?
