The Kings are staying in Sacramento.
The NBA Board of Governors have officially voted down the Kings moving to Seattle.

Now I just got to find out though who will own the Kings. I'll update after I get that information.
No word yet on the sale of the Kings to the Sacramento group but sounds like there will be talks coming up.
"We will talk to the Maloofs within the next 24 to 48 hours to see if we can facilitate an agreement between Maloofs and Ranadive group"

“We will talk to the Maloofs…& seek in the next 24-48 hrs…whether we can help facilitate agreement to be signed between @vivek and the Ms”

Lol, Stern is such a mob boss. "I anticipate that the Maloofs will become open to the idea of selling to Sacramento" lol

That last quote by David Stern is amazing. If I'm the Maloofs, I would stay away from any toll booths for the next couple of days.
Stern: Maloofs have right to retain ownership of the franchise b/c all we did was vote on relocation.
— Bryan May (@BMayNews10) May 15, 2013
Stern: It is my expectation that we'll be able to make a deal to transfer ownership to Ranadive group.
— Bryan May (@BMayNews10) May 15, 2013
Stern: If there is a signed document we would convene by conference call which has vetted Ranadive group

I'll have more on this as more news comes out.
Happy for all the Kings fans, but what a joke.
ReplyDeleteJoke as the Kings staying in Sacramento over Seattle or joke as in this entire process?
DeleteRanadive could become the Peter Magowan of Sacramento if he can put plans in place to keep the Kings there for good.
