Houston 4 Cincinnati 0: The Astros actually did something right. They managed to avoid being swept by the Reds and they actually shut down one of the more explosive offenses in baseball. Wandy Rodriguez shut down the Reds in seven innings giving up only one hit and two walks while striking out seven. Hunter Pence homered for Houston and Michael Bourn drove in two runs.
Philadelphia 4 Colorado 3: Jimmy Rollins did everything to help the Phillies sweep the Rockies and piss of their fans. Rollins singled in the game-tying run in the seventh inning then scored the game-winning run in the same inning off a wild pitch. With that loss the Rockies slip to 7 1/2 games back of the Padres in the NL West.
Arizona 2 San Francisco 3, 10 Innings: The Diamondbacks had every opportunity to win this game and somehow the Giants prevailed. Buster Posey continued his hitting streak, 18 games now, and he had the key hit in the 10th inning. Posey doubled to lead off the inning. Oakland 6 Chicago 4: For the first time since his perfect game, Dallas Braden has finally won a game. After 10 starts since his May perfect game, Braden pitched well enough to earn the victory. Braden pitched 6 1/3 innings giving up five hits and three runs. Kurt Suzuki drove in three runs for the A's to go along with Daric Barton's two RBIs.
