Here's the
must list,
college football schedule, and
college basketball schedule.
nothing says college basketball like Kermit the Frog.
ReplyDeleteand I hope you're not watching this open Keith
Kansas looking awesome right now
ReplyDeletenice comeback by Michigan at the end of the 1st half
ReplyDelete@Kris: I missed Kermit the Frog? Damn! Why did I have to sleep so long?
ReplyDeleteKeith, 49ers-Eagles now a 4:15 PM ET (1:15 PM PT) start due to snowstorm here. this means 49ers and Raiders will go head-to-head for the first time in eons...
ReplyDelete@JC: I saw that today. And like you said, it's very rare for the Niners-Raiders to go head-to-head.
ReplyDeleteAnd rumors are flirting around according to the506 Twitter account that Falcons-Jets are being moved as well. If that's true, the entire country will see Cards-Lions at 1:00 on Fox
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be interesting to see what the announcing schedule will look like tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAnd here's another one. Poor WPMT in Harrisburg. Eagles, Steelers, and Ravens all on the same network and possibly at the same time if GB-PIT does not get moved up to 1 ET (storm's not bad in Pittsburgh).
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such a scramble for moving games around like this in my life. And somehow CBS ended up with a not badly affected Buffalo home game and every other game being outside the storm.
Buffalo is laughing at all of you in the South.
ReplyDeleteClose game between Texas and UNC.
ReplyDeleteTexas leading UNC by 11.
ReplyDeletenot good to wake up from a nap to see you know who in Dallas.
ReplyDelete/trying not to get banned'd
DeSean Jackson's reaction to the blizzard in 2 tweets.
ReplyDelete"Jus woke up 2 a blizzard it was crazy.... sheeeeeesh couldn't even drive got stucc in da snow ol dude had 2 help me out and bring me home"
"Ol dude that came and helped me asked me what I did and I told cuhz who I was he went nutts!! Like oh my gosh dude ur killn it had me rollen"
also, i think there is a good chance this Bears/Ravens game gets moved to Monday Night. the Bears weren't able to get out last night and are currently waiting for a "window" to come to Baltimore. I can't imagine the NFL letting the Bears fly in at noon tomorrow for a 4:15 game.
ReplyDeleteMan this is just good offensive basketball between these 2 teams. Duke/Gonzaga starts in about 10 mins. Crazy Uncle Verne time!
ReplyDeleteUNC now within 4. they are relentless
ReplyDeletei also never in my life thought i'd see "Wholly Guacamole" advertising on a basketball court.
ReplyDeleteHorns now back up by 9, 89-80
ReplyDelete@JFein: Desean isn't used to snow growing up in Long Beach and playing football in college at Cal.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the Xavier-Butler game is down to the wire.
Is anyone watching the end of Xavier-Butler? Crazy crazy stuff.
ReplyDeleteCrazy ending to this Xavier-Butler game.
ReplyDeletePittman is an absolute monster.
ReplyDeletealso, credit to Jerry for a tasteful floor. unlike that monstrosity in St. Louis
The clock froze during the Butler-Xavier game.
ReplyDelete@ 49er16: I know, that's what makes part of it so funny.
ReplyDelete+1 to Bob Knight
ReplyDelete"the only other organization to take so long to do something so obvious is the United States Congress"
They just ended the game? Weird ending......
ReplyDeleteWTF? Now Xavier players are trying to go LeGarrette Blount on the court.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is some crazy stuff.
ReplyDeleteXavier has every right to be pissed, but they need to control themselves.
I'll be searching for a video of that soon. That was messed up.
ReplyDeleteI'll watch the Zags-Duke game now...........
ReplyDeleteThe ending to that Xavier-Butler game still has me confused.
ReplyDeleteWatching those Xavier players wanting to go after someone was just uncomfortable. It was like seeing a whole group of Bret Harts looking into the eyes of the refs wondering what the hell was going on.
ReplyDelete+1 Justin for the comparison.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else watching the New Mexico Bowl?
ReplyDelete@JFein: Yes. I'm shocked to see Fowler, Howard, and Herbstreit doing College Football Live.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to get Terry Gannon's smile surgically removed. He's grinning giddily way too much, especially for a New Mexico Bowl.
ReplyDelete@Jay if the clock freezes at any point during a play, the refs are allowed to go to replay and put a stopwatch on the play to determine how much time should have elapsed during the stoppage. they decided that it stopped for less than 1.2 secs and that the game would have ended on the Butler layup.
ReplyDeletei think they got the call right
I can't believe I'm such a college football junkie, that I'm watching the New Mexico Bowl.
ReplyDeletei should have added after the play ends and then the refs go to the scorers table to the replay
ReplyDeleteWhoa. It appears as if ESPN is using their MNF graphics for the bowl games as well.
ReplyDelete@ 49er16: Samezies.
ReplyDeleteLOL, you know your not a big bowl game when your sponsor is a local Credit Union.
ReplyDeletewell, you're not missing anything in the Duke/Zags game. either horrible offense or fantastic defense, depending on your POV
ReplyDeletewow, West Virginia needed a last second layup to beat Cleveland State 80-78
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Wyoming!
ReplyDeleteLOL Fresno State. They allowed a Wyoming 68-yard touchdown run.
ReplyDelete7-0 Wyoming.
Oh crap. Ryan Matthews is going to the locker room. As if this game was not over already for Fresno State....
ReplyDeleteDuke leads Gonzaga 31-17
ReplyDeleteVerne after a Zag nearly makes a half court shot at the buzzer: "Not bad"
I'm glad I picked Wyoming in my bowl pick em.
ReplyDeleteMore DeSean Jackson Twitter fun.
ReplyDelete"out here chilln in da house in dis cold ass weather shiiit is crazy im ready to be laid up already....... sheeeeeesh"
18" on top of my car!
ReplyDelete@ 49er16: Same with me.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't actually enter my picks online, I play along with the Bowl Mania against an ESPN analyst. The past 2 years I did Jesse Palmer, this year Todd McShay (I've had it with Palmer kicking my butt, besides, I can't find his entry anywhere). He has Fresno State. I have Wyoming.
I see Desean took the same English classes as Marshawn Lynch while at Cal.
ReplyDeleteThey are finally playing the Stagg Bowl.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Fresno State
ReplyDeleteits crazy here JFein & Keith, but the neighbors and I are going to have a snow party...should be fun...
ReplyDeleteCBS just ran a PGA Tour on CBS commercial. Guess who wasn't featured?
ReplyDeleteIt's just cloudy where I'm at.
ReplyDelete@ Keith: All his tweets are like that, so I think you might be right.
ReplyDeleteI like Wyoming's uniforms and helmet.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if Duke won the ACC this year. That conference doesn't seem to be as strong this year.
ReplyDelete@Jay I'd watch out for Georgia Tech. they have 3 guys who could be lottery picks next year.
ReplyDeleteMy upset picks aren't looking good. Both Western Kentucky and the Zags are being blown out.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Wyoming!
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, Wyoming is looking decent against Fresno State. Then again, it is Fresno State so they'll implode at the end anyway.
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Fresno State!
ReplyDeletetweet from Ray Rice:
ReplyDeleteLol this snow is real I'm a short dude my whole leg is in the snow lol
Rutgers education FTW!
Duke is just hammering the Zags
Touchdown Fresno State.
ReplyDeleteAnd right now, I would bet a good amount of money on the Bears-Ravens game getting moved to Monday Night.
i called it 2 hours ago JFein
ReplyDeleteCal has played the hardest basketball schedule so far? i had no idea...
ReplyDelete@Kris: They have played Syracuse, Ohio State, and New Mexico in about a week in a half stretch. They lost all of those games. And they play Kansas on Tuesday.
ReplyDelete14-14 going into halftime.
@ 49er16: I am reading that it is possible (though highly unlikely) the Niners-Eagles game will be moved to Monday Night.
ReplyDeleteat least Gonzaga broke 40...
ReplyDeleteWhat did David Norrie just say about waiting for Johnson to get into it?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know how to embed a YouTube video so that it starts at a certain point and not the beginning? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteNever mind. I figured it out.
ReplyDeletelatest update: Bears/Ravens will start at 4:15 tomorrow
ReplyDeleteVideo of the ending of the Butler-Xavier game is up.

ReplyDelete@ kt: How exactly do the Bears plan on getting to Baltimore?
ReplyDelete@JFein your guess would be as good as mine at the moment.
ReplyDeleteFresno State just scored a TD
I'm back from eating and see that Wyoming is trying to make this a game.
ReplyDeletethis has been quite a gutsy drive by the Cowboys..3 4th down conversions
ReplyDeleteTied game, possible overtime?
ReplyDeleteFresno State will lose.
ReplyDeleteWyoming stuffs Fresno State on 4th and goal...............PAT HILL FACE!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow exactly does Andy Reid plan on getting from Albuquerque to Philadelphia tonight?
ReplyDeletewhat a goalline stand by Wyoming!
ReplyDeleteFresno State is the masters of choking away games. Wyoming only needs a field goal.
ReplyDeleteAnyone interested in a Dallas-New Orleans live blog or just commenting here?
ReplyDeleteHe Missed! Double OT!
ReplyDeleteMISSED THE FG! DOUBLE OVERTIME IN NEW MEXICO!
ReplyDeleteI'm not interesting in a live blog. I'd rather comment here.
ReplyDeleteNo Good! And Fresno State has new life.
@JFein i'll be around for the 2nd half
ReplyDeleteFine with me.
ReplyDeleteFresno State, ladies and gentlemen!
ReplyDeleteTouchdown Wyoming!
ReplyDeleteAnd Wyoming won!!!!
ReplyDeleteWyoming wins!!!!!
ReplyDelete"A 90% DeMarcus Ware is worth a lot better than a 100% most players." - Matt Millen
ReplyDeleteWow! Romo to Austin for the Dallas touchdown.
ReplyDeleteDid I mention I like Dallas in this game? They are desperate enough to win this game, while the Saints will probably be getting tighter.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. They do need this game and the pressure is sure to be getting New Orleans. Although I would not be a happy person with Dallas was the team to beat Nawlins. That's supposed to be the Eagles in the NFC Title game. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBarber! Touchdown Dallas again!
ReplyDeleteWell that's one way to take the crowd out of a game.
I still would not trust them to win it.
By the way, that guy that was here earlier that talked about his diarrhea......he made me queasy.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking the same thing Justin. I don't trust Dallas until the game is over.
ReplyDeleteHow is that not pass interference?????
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody around here have a cheesesteak?
ReplyDeleteMake that 2 cheesesteaks? Thanks!
All New Orleans needs to do is make one play to rattle Dallas and the Saints will be back in this game.
ReplyDeleteDallas going for it on 4th down.....incomplete but there's a flag.
ReplyDeleteIllegal contact on the Saints. 1st down Dallas.
The local high school in my area, Rocklin, is losing in the third quarter of the State Championship. Hopefully they can pull out the victory.
ReplyDeleteThe Tri-Eagles Commission in Harrisburg petitioned WPMT to switch to 49ers-Eagles BTW. Also, new schedule in Philly is New England-Buffalo at 1 PM on CBS and Atlanta-New York Jets on Fox at 1 PM before 49ers-Eagles.
ReplyDeleteAlso, according to the506.com forums, the 49ers and Raiders playing at the same time last happened in December of 1981. Both teams were at home in Week 15, and the Raiders game was blacked out.
Colston inside the 20!!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to your local high school. My high school football team stinks. And by stinks, I mean during my sophomore and junior years of high school they won a grand total of 0 games.
Good! Now I won't have to watch the Raiders-Broncos game at 1.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that thinks the NFL Network needs to find some other name for this broadcast? I mean Thursday Night Football Special Edition is just confusing and, well, not optimal for getting viewers.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit this, I'm actually watching the Kings-Bucks game.
ReplyDeleteIt's Brandon Jennings vs. Tyreke Evans!
LOL WITTEN! Nice drop.
ReplyDeleteYou're not watching the St. Petersburg Bowl?????
ReplyDeleteThe Sixers were down by 12 but they have rallied and tied the game. The opponent: the Los Angeles Clippers.
DOWN GOES ROMO! DOWN GOES ROMO! DOWN GOES ROMO!
ReplyDelete/JR'd
Kings down by 4 at halftime.
ReplyDeleteMatt Millen must be a doctor now.
ReplyDeleteAlso Alex Flanagan is one of the hottest sideline reporters. Plus she's a MILF.
Brees just threw a Alex Smith-like interception.
ReplyDeleteFollow the drama of the Bears trying to land in Baltimore:
ReplyDeletehttp://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL9900
When did Alex Smith and Drew Brees trade places?
ReplyDeleteHey! My school just got mentioned on national TV.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, nice hold Jahri. You may be a BU grad and one of the best O linemen in the league, but holding is never a good thing.
I can't believe Dallas is doing this....
ReplyDeleteI can.............especially after Saints players are dropping wide open catches like that in the end zone.
ReplyDeleteCowboys playing very inspired defense tonight, like the Niners on Monday.
ReplyDeleteDallas is just dominating the running game...
ReplyDeletebtw the Bears have landed..game on tomorrow
Saints scored its 24-10
ReplyDeleteCan Alex Flanagan sideline report every football game there ever is?
ReplyDeleteKings down by 1 with 20 seconds left.
ReplyDeleteSaints have a chance in this one.
ReplyDelete24 hours after beating the Celtics, the Sixers lose to the Clippers in overtime.
@JFein how many ppl showed up at that game?
ReplyDeleteand the Saints are back into Dallas territory
Thomas to the Dallas 41.
ReplyDeleteIf the Cowboys blow this game, Wade Phillips should be fired on the spot at the post game presser. Or even before.
Kings just beat Milwaukee on a last second Tyreke Evans shot. Great game to watch.
ReplyDeleteSaints inside the 20...
ReplyDeleteColston..1st and goal
ReplyDelete@ 49er16: Hilariously less than 5,000.
ReplyDeleteTOUCHDOWN SAINTS!!! AND HERE WE GO!
Now the Saints are making this a great ending.
ReplyDeleteTheir within 7.
SAINTS TOUCHDOWN
ReplyDeleteAMAZING
Something about braving the storm of the century to watch the Sixers play the Clippers did not appeal to many people.
ReplyDeleteCaps and Oilers 0-0 starting the 2nd...
ReplyDelete@JFein i'm very disappointed that you didn't venture out...;-)
The crowd is finally in the game.
ReplyDeleteThis game's just about over.
ReplyDeletenice kick Folk..hope you enjoy collecting unemployment next week...
ReplyDeleteDoink! Saints have a chance now.
ReplyDeleteCome on Brees. Send this baby to overtime.
ReplyDeleteCrap it's 4th and 10.
ReplyDeleteSaints have no timeouts and it's less than a minute.
ReplyDeleteNot good clock management at all.
ReplyDeletethis drive has been amazing
ReplyDeleteBrees fumbles...
ReplyDelete1 unbeaten team left
Well............The Cowboys defense inspired play pays off.
ReplyDeleteCot damnit
ReplyDeleteGood night guys.
ReplyDeleteMy opinion of the Cowboys has not changed a bit.
ReplyDeleteThey'll be lucky to make the playoffs.
Romo had a good game, he's had them before, but New Orleans did not play as good a game as they are capable of.
ReplyDeleteI am still hesitant to give them any credit. Let's just wait to see a). if they can make the playoffs and b). if they can actually win a playoff game.
thank you for this Keith
ReplyDelete
