  1. nothing says college basketball like Kermit the Frog.

and I hope you're not watching this open Keith

  2. Kansas looking awesome right now

    ReplyDelete
  3. nice comeback by Michigan at the end of the 1st half

    ReplyDelete
  4. @Kris: I missed Kermit the Frog? Damn! Why did I have to sleep so long?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Keith, 49ers-Eagles now a 4:15 PM ET (1:15 PM PT) start due to snowstorm here. this means 49ers and Raiders will go head-to-head for the first time in eons...

    ReplyDelete
  6. @JC: I saw that today. And like you said, it's very rare for the Niners-Raiders to go head-to-head.

    ReplyDelete
  7. And rumors are flirting around according to the506 Twitter account that Falcons-Jets are being moved as well. If that's true, the entire country will see Cards-Lions at 1:00 on Fox

    ReplyDelete
  8. It's going to be interesting to see what the announcing schedule will look like tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  9. And here's another one. Poor WPMT in Harrisburg. Eagles, Steelers, and Ravens all on the same network and possibly at the same time if GB-PIT does not get moved up to 1 ET (storm's not bad in Pittsburgh).

I've never seen such a scramble for moving games around like this in my life. And somehow CBS ended up with a not badly affected Buffalo home game and every other game being outside the storm.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Buffalo is laughing at all of you in the South.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Close game between Texas and UNC.

    ReplyDelete
  12. not good to wake up from a nap to see you know who in Dallas.

    /trying not to get banned'd

    ReplyDelete
  13. DeSean Jackson's reaction to the blizzard in 2 tweets.

"Jus woke up 2 a blizzard it was crazy.... sheeeeeesh couldn't even drive got stucc in da snow ol dude had 2 help me out and bring me home"

"Ol dude that came and helped me asked me what I did and I told cuhz who I was he went nutts!! Like oh my gosh dude ur killn it had me rollen"

    ReplyDelete
  14. also, i think there is a good chance this Bears/Ravens game gets moved to Monday Night. the Bears weren't able to get out last night and are currently waiting for a "window" to come to Baltimore. I can't imagine the NFL letting the Bears fly in at noon tomorrow for a 4:15 game.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Man this is just good offensive basketball between these 2 teams. Duke/Gonzaga starts in about 10 mins. Crazy Uncle Verne time!

    ReplyDelete
  16. UNC now within 4. they are relentless

    ReplyDelete
  17. i also never in my life thought i'd see "Wholly Guacamole" advertising on a basketball court.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @JFein: Desean isn't used to snow growing up in Long Beach and playing football in college at Cal.

BTW, the Xavier-Butler game is down to the wire.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Is anyone watching the end of Xavier-Butler? Crazy crazy stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Crazy ending to this Xavier-Butler game.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Pittman is an absolute monster.

also, credit to Jerry for a tasteful floor. unlike that monstrosity in St. Louis

    ReplyDelete
  22. The clock froze during the Butler-Xavier game.

    ReplyDelete
  23. @ 49er16: I know, that's what makes part of it so funny.

    ReplyDelete
  24. +1 to Bob Knight

"the only other organization to take so long to do something so obvious is the United States Congress"

    ReplyDelete
  25. They just ended the game? Weird ending......

    ReplyDelete
  26. WTF? Now Xavier players are trying to go LeGarrette Blount on the court.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Wow, that is some crazy stuff.

Xavier has every right to be pissed, but they need to control themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'll be searching for a video of that soon. That was messed up.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'll watch the Zags-Duke game now...........

    ReplyDelete
  30. The ending to that Xavier-Butler game still has me confused.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Watching those Xavier players wanting to go after someone was just uncomfortable. It was like seeing a whole group of Bret Harts looking into the eyes of the refs wondering what the hell was going on.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anyone else watching the New Mexico Bowl?

    ReplyDelete
  33. @JFein: Yes. I'm shocked to see Fowler, Howard, and Herbstreit doing College Football Live.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Someone needs to get Terry Gannon's smile surgically removed. He's grinning giddily way too much, especially for a New Mexico Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  35. @Jay if the clock freezes at any point during a play, the refs are allowed to go to replay and put a stopwatch on the play to determine how much time should have elapsed during the stoppage. they decided that it stopped for less than 1.2 secs and that the game would have ended on the Butler layup.

i think they got the call right

    ReplyDelete
  36. I can't believe I'm such a college football junkie, that I'm watching the New Mexico Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  37. i should have added after the play ends and then the refs go to the scorers table to the replay

    ReplyDelete
  38. Whoa. It appears as if ESPN is using their MNF graphics for the bowl games as well.

    ReplyDelete
  39. LOL, you know your not a big bowl game when your sponsor is a local Credit Union.

    ReplyDelete
  40. well, you're not missing anything in the Duke/Zags game. either horrible offense or fantastic defense, depending on your POV

    ReplyDelete
  41. wow, West Virginia needed a last second layup to beat Cleveland State 80-78

    ReplyDelete
  42. LOL Fresno State. They allowed a Wyoming 68-yard touchdown run.

    7-0 Wyoming.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh crap. Ryan Matthews is going to the locker room. As if this game was not over already for Fresno State....

    ReplyDelete
  44. Duke leads Gonzaga 31-17

Verne after a Zag nearly makes a half court shot at the buzzer: "Not bad"

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm glad I picked Wyoming in my bowl pick em.

    ReplyDelete
  46. More DeSean Jackson Twitter fun.

"out here chilln in da house in dis cold ass weather shiiit is crazy im ready to be laid up already....... sheeeeeesh"

    ReplyDelete
  47. @ 49er16: Same with me.

While I don't actually enter my picks online, I play along with the Bowl Mania against an ESPN analyst. The past 2 years I did Jesse Palmer, this year Todd McShay (I've had it with Palmer kicking my butt, besides, I can't find his entry anywhere). He has Fresno State. I have Wyoming.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I see Desean took the same English classes as Marshawn Lynch while at Cal.

    ReplyDelete
  49. They are finally playing the Stagg Bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  50. its crazy here JFein & Keith, but the neighbors and I are going to have a snow party...should be fun...

    ReplyDelete
  51. CBS just ran a PGA Tour on CBS commercial. Guess who wasn't featured?

    ReplyDelete
  52. @ Keith: All his tweets are like that, so I think you might be right.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I like Wyoming's uniforms and helmet.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I wouldn't be surprised if Duke won the ACC this year. That conference doesn't seem to be as strong this year.

    ReplyDelete
  55. @Jay I'd watch out for Georgia Tech. they have 3 guys who could be lottery picks next year.

    ReplyDelete
  56. My upset picks aren't looking good. Both Western Kentucky and the Zags are being blown out.

    ReplyDelete
  57. On the plus side, Wyoming is looking decent against Fresno State. Then again, it is Fresno State so they'll implode at the end anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  58. tweet from Ray Rice:

Lol this snow is real I'm a short dude my whole leg is in the snow lol

    Rutgers education FTW!

Duke is just hammering the Zags

    ReplyDelete
  59. Touchdown Fresno State.

And right now, I would bet a good amount of money on the Bears-Ravens game getting moved to Monday Night.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Cal has played the hardest basketball schedule so far? i had no idea...

    ReplyDelete
  61. @Kris: They have played Syracuse, Ohio State, and New Mexico in about a week in a half stretch. They lost all of those games. And they play Kansas on Tuesday.

    14-14 going into halftime.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @ 49er16: I am reading that it is possible (though highly unlikely) the Niners-Eagles game will be moved to Monday Night.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What did David Norrie just say about waiting for Johnson to get into it?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Does anyone know how to embed a YouTube video so that it starts at a certain point and not the beginning? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  65. latest update: Bears/Ravens will start at 4:15 tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  66. Video of the ending of the Butler-Xavier game is up.

  68. @ kt: How exactly do the Bears plan on getting to Baltimore?

    ReplyDelete
  69. @JFein your guess would be as good as mine at the moment.

Fresno State just scored a TD

    ReplyDelete
  70. I'm back from eating and see that Wyoming is trying to make this a game.

    ReplyDelete
  71. this has been quite a gutsy drive by the Cowboys..3 4th down conversions

    ReplyDelete
  72. Wyoming stuffs Fresno State on 4th and goal...............PAT HILL FACE!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. How exactly does Andy Reid plan on getting from Albuquerque to Philadelphia tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  74. what a goalline stand by Wyoming!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Fresno State is the masters of choking away games. Wyoming only needs a field goal.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anyone interested in a Dallas-New Orleans live blog or just commenting here?

    ReplyDelete
  77. MISSED THE FG! DOUBLE OVERTIME IN NEW MEXICO!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm not interesting in a live blog. I'd rather comment here.

No Good! And Fresno State has new life.

    ReplyDelete
  79. @JFein i'll be around for the 2nd half

    ReplyDelete
  80. Fresno State, ladies and gentlemen!

    ReplyDelete
  81. "A 90% DeMarcus Ware is worth a lot better than a 100% most players." - Matt Millen

    ReplyDelete
  82. Wow! Romo to Austin for the Dallas touchdown.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Did I mention I like Dallas in this game? They are desperate enough to win this game, while the Saints will probably be getting tighter.

    ReplyDelete
  84. You're right. They do need this game and the pressure is sure to be getting New Orleans. Although I would not be a happy person with Dallas was the team to beat Nawlins. That's supposed to be the Eagles in the NFC Title game. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Barber! Touchdown Dallas again!

Well that's one way to take the crowd out of a game.

I still would not trust them to win it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. By the way, that guy that was here earlier that talked about his diarrhea......he made me queasy.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm thinking the same thing Justin. I don't trust Dallas until the game is over.

    ReplyDelete
  88. How is that not pass interference?????

    ReplyDelete
  89. Does anybody around here have a cheesesteak?

    Make that 2 cheesesteaks? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  90. All New Orleans needs to do is make one play to rattle Dallas and the Saints will be back in this game.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Dallas going for it on 4th down.....incomplete but there's a flag.

Illegal contact on the Saints. 1st down Dallas.

    ReplyDelete
  92. The local high school in my area, Rocklin, is losing in the third quarter of the State Championship. Hopefully they can pull out the victory.

    ReplyDelete
  93. The Tri-Eagles Commission in Harrisburg petitioned WPMT to switch to 49ers-Eagles BTW. Also, new schedule in Philly is New England-Buffalo at 1 PM on CBS and Atlanta-New York Jets on Fox at 1 PM before 49ers-Eagles.

Also, according to the506.com forums, the 49ers and Raiders playing at the same time last happened in December of 1981. Both teams were at home in Week 15, and the Raiders game was blacked out.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Colston inside the 20!!!!

Good luck to your local high school. My high school football team stinks. And by stinks, I mean during my sophomore and junior years of high school they won a grand total of 0 games.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Good! Now I won't have to watch the Raiders-Broncos game at 1.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Am I the only one that thinks the NFL Network needs to find some other name for this broadcast? I mean Thursday Night Football Special Edition is just confusing and, well, not optimal for getting viewers.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I have to admit this, I'm actually watching the Kings-Bucks game.

It's Brandon Jennings vs. Tyreke Evans!

    ReplyDelete
  98. You're not watching the St. Petersburg Bowl?????

The Sixers were down by 12 but they have rallied and tied the game. The opponent: the Los Angeles Clippers.

    ReplyDelete
  99. DOWN GOES ROMO! DOWN GOES ROMO! DOWN GOES ROMO!

    /JR'd

    ReplyDelete
  100. Matt Millen must be a doctor now.

Also Alex Flanagan is one of the hottest sideline reporters. Plus she's a MILF.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Brees just threw a Alex Smith-like interception.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Follow the drama of the Bears trying to land in Baltimore:

    http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UAL9900

    ReplyDelete
  103. When did Alex Smith and Drew Brees trade places?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hey! My school just got mentioned on national TV.

By the way, nice hold Jahri. You may be a BU grad and one of the best O linemen in the league, but holding is never a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I can't believe Dallas is doing this....

    ReplyDelete
  106. I can.............especially after Saints players are dropping wide open catches like that in the end zone.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Cowboys playing very inspired defense tonight, like the Niners on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Dallas is just dominating the running game...

btw the Bears have landed..game on tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  109. Can Alex Flanagan sideline report every football game there ever is?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Kings down by 1 with 20 seconds left.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Saints have a chance in this one.

24 hours after beating the Celtics, the Sixers lose to the Clippers in overtime.

    ReplyDelete
  112. @JFein how many ppl showed up at that game?

and the Saints are back into Dallas territory

    ReplyDelete
  113. Thomas to the Dallas 41.

If the Cowboys blow this game, Wade Phillips should be fired on the spot at the post game presser. Or even before.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Kings just beat Milwaukee on a last second Tyreke Evans shot. Great game to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  115. @ 49er16: Hilariously less than 5,000.

TOUCHDOWN SAINTS!!! AND HERE WE GO!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Now the Saints are making this a great ending.

    Their within 7.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Something about braving the storm of the century to watch the Sixers play the Clippers did not appeal to many people.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Caps and Oilers 0-0 starting the 2nd...

@JFein i'm very disappointed that you didn't venture out...;-)

    ReplyDelete
  119. The crowd is finally in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  120. nice kick Folk..hope you enjoy collecting unemployment next week...

    ReplyDelete
  121. Doink! Saints have a chance now.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Come on Brees. Send this baby to overtime.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Saints have no timeouts and it's less than a minute.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Brees fumbles...

    1 unbeaten team left

    ReplyDelete
  125. Well............The Cowboys defense inspired play pays off.

    ReplyDelete
  126. My opinion of the Cowboys has not changed a bit.

They'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Romo had a good game, he's had them before, but New Orleans did not play as good a game as they are capable of.

I am still hesitant to give them any credit. Let's just wait to see a). if they can make the playoffs and b). if they can actually win a playoff game.
