1st Down- Week 15

- Getting lost in the last second touchdown pass by Ben Roethlisberger to Mike Wallace, was the fact that Roethlisberger threw for over 500 yards, 3 touchdowns, and no interceptions. Only two quarterbacks in the history of the NFL have ever done what Roethlisberger did yesterday. Pittsburgh some how kept their playoff hopes alive and set up a key rematch at home with the Ravens next week.

- Ben wasn't the only one making records. After the Colts victory on Thursday Night, they improve their record to 14-0 on the season. Only two other teams, the 72 Dolphins and the 07 Patriots, have ever started the season 14-0. The Colts have also broke the record for the longest win streak in the NFL with 23 straight wins. The Colts only have the Jets and Bills left to play on the season.

- Some guy named Jerome Harrison rushed for 286 yards for the Cleveland Browns against the Kansas City Chiefs. Harrison shattered Jim Brown's team record and was 11 yards shy of the all-time mark. During yesterday's game, we saw two coaches going in complete opposite direction. Eric Mangini might save his job, despite Mike Holmgren being hired as the team president. While Todd Haley might not be fired, but is there a specific reason why he should be back next season?

- I'm still not sure what bandwagon I should jump on in the NFC? Minnesota is not exactly playing well during this late stretch. Who knows what the relationship is like between Favre and Childress after Childress tried to bench Favre in last night's loss.

The Eagles look suspect. Going into halftime with a 20-3 lead, the Eagles let the 49ers right back into the game in the third quarter before finally closing the door. Oh McNabb looked good, but do you really trust a team that let a mediocre Niners team with Alex Smith as their quarterback back into the game? I don't.

Arizona is impossible to figure out. They lose badly to the Niners on Monday night and almost give away a game to Detroit. New Orleans really didn't look like a Super Bowl contender against Dallas. And do you really trust Tony Romo in a playoff game? Also Green Bay's defense gave up over 500 passing yards. I don't trust a single team in the NFC.

- Hey 49ers fans, what do you think of Alex Smith now? And do you still believe in him? Because I don't. I don't trust a quarterback who has to be put in a system that suits his skills. A great quarterback should be put in any system and be able to succeed. And why do so many people make excuses for this guy? Did anyone else see Singletary cursing at Vernon Davis after Smith's first interception? Smith threw that ball into double coverage and also put too much air on that ball. The Niners actually have talent on offense. Smith is 3-5 since being named starter back in October and has shown improvement, but has he shown enough? I don't think he has.

- Oh yeah, Tommy Kelly lost his pants while Denver is having another late season collapse.
