Tennessee 17 Indianapolis 27: So much for Tennessee and Vince Young turning the page and making a late playoff push. Young threw an interception and fumbled against the Indianapolis defense that only gave up 127 rushing yards to Chris Johnson. The Colts stay undefeated on the year and could possibly rest their starters for the rest of the season. Midnight finally struck on the Titans playoffs hopes after this game.
Oakland 27 Pittsburgh 24: I watched the 4th quarter of this game and still don't believe it. Bruce Gradkowski lead the Raiders on three scoring drives in the 4th quarter to beat the Steelers. The Raiders last drive saw Louis Murphy catch a touchdown pass with 9 seconds remaining in the game. The Steelers have to stay together these last few remaining weeks. Meanwhile it's no coincidence the Raiders have won two games with Jamarcus Russell on the bench.
New Orleans 33 Washington 30 in OT: I'm not a big believer in destiny, but after watching the Saints somehow win this game in overtime I believe in destiny now. The Saints stayed undefeated by winning an improbable overtime game against Washington. Poor Jim Zorn, his team played their best game of the year and still lost. The Redskins had a chance to put this game out of reach in the fourth quarter, but kicker Shaun Suisham missed a 23-yard field goal that gave Saints life. Drew Brees hit Robert Meachem with a 53-yard touchdown pass to send the game into overtime. Then the Saints kicked a game-winning field goal in overtime. I'm a believer now.
New England 21 Miami 22: Uh oh, New England. Don't look now, but both Miami and New York are only one game behind the Patriots and both teams split games with the Patriots this year. The Patriots are reeling after this loss. Are the Patriots just not that good anymore or is it something different? We do know this, the Patriots offense doesn't scare anyone, anymore. Brady threw two interceptions and the Patriots were stuffed on another crucial 4th and short in the red zone. Miami kicker Dan Carpenter kicked a game-winning field goal with a 1:02 left in the game. The Patriots had a chance to comeback and win the game, but Brady threw his second interception of the day, that gave Miami the victory. There is definitely something wrong with the Patriots.

No love for the Eagles or Niners? ;-)
ReplyDeleteYeah, really, Keith. Aside from the Saints, the Raiders, and Favre looking human, the highlight of the day has to be the 2 Vick TDs, no? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd let's not forget that those 2 TDs came in the building in the home of his former team! ;-)
ReplyDeleteGuys that game was a blowout and the Niners-Osprey game had no playoff indications.
ReplyDeleteSEA! HAWKS!
