Inside the Paint: Oh Kings

Sacramento 105 Memphis 116: Well after the Kings looked so good the two weeks ago, they have now regressed to their preseason expectations. The Kings have lost four straight games and lost last night to the lowly Grizzlies by 11 points, but they were really never in this game. The Kings allowed the Grizzlies to shoot .53% from the field and allowed Rudy Gay to abuse their interior defense. Good thing the Kings play New Jersey and New York in upcoming games.

Milwaukee 98 San Antonio 112: Tim Duncan finally had a big night and the Spurs took full advantage of his night to beat Milwaukee. Duncan scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and promted this idiotic response from Roger Mason, “We’ll win a lot more games if he scores 20. I’ll tell you that much,” Spurs guard Mason said. Well duh! Any team can win with Tim Duncan, if he produces a 24/12 a night.

Chicago 98 Portland 112: Greg Oden finally had a career night, playing 26 minutes and scoring 24 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. Oden actually cut down on the fouls in the game, by only picking up 4 personnel's. LeMarcus Aldridge also scored 24 points for Portland as they were able to rout Chicago, who were called out by their coach for not trying in their last two games. Oden did get dunked on in the game, but it only happened once.

Minnesota 87 Los Angeles Clippers 91: And you thought the Kings-Grizzlies game was the only bad game of the night? Nope, the Clippers-Timberwolves game took the trophy on Monday night. Clippers gaurd Baron Davis had a 1-for-10, but he saved his only good shot of the night for late in the fourth quarter to preserve the win for the Clippers. There's a reason the Clippers are paying Baron $65 million dollars.

Video of the Night: Okay I lied. Oden was dunked on twice against Chicago.

  2. @ Keith: You can always look forward to December 30 when the Kings play the Sixers. That'll be another win for you.

The thing with the Sixers is that they will beat the bad teams, yet when they play someone a hair better then them, they lose by 30 points everytime. I don't know if it's the coaching or the players or what but right now the Sixers are going nowhere and they are getting there way too fast.
