1st Down- Week 12

Arizona 17 Tennessee 20: With Kurt Warner hurt, Matt Leinart was asked to step up for the Cardinals against the Titans. Also it would be a rematch for Leinart against Vince Young from the 2006 Rose Bowl. And once again, Leinart would have his heart broken by a miraculous Vince Young game-winning touchdown drive. With 2:27 left in the game, Vince Young drove Tennessee 99 yards for the game-winning touchdown pass to Kenny Britt. Chris Johnson once again rushed for over 150 yards and firmly stamped his name into the MVP discussion.

Indianapolis 35 Houston 27: Poor Houston, they just seem like they can't beat Indianapolis. A couple weeks after Kris Brown missed a game-winning field goal in Indianapolis, Houston blew a 13-point halftime lead. And they thought the Sage Rosenfels helicopter fumble was painful. Peyton Manning threw two 2nd half touchdown passes and Houston quarterback Matt Schaub was picked off for a touchdown. Indianapolis won the AFC South later in the day with Jacksonville losing to San Francisco.

Pittsburgh 17 Baltimore 20 in OT: Pittsburgh was heading into the Baltimore game already with bad attitudes and bad feelings. Losing in overtime after their first-time starting quarterback threw a back-breaking interception, probably didn't help the feelings in the Pittsburgh locker room. After Dennis Dixon thew an interception to Baltimore's Paul Kruger, Billy Cundiff was able to hit a game-winning 29-yard field goal. Both Pittsburgh and Baltimore have a 6-5 record and are both on the outside looking in at the playoff picture.

Washington 24 Philadelphia 27: Oh Washington, you looked so good in this game and still lost. Washington headed into the 4th quarter with a 21-16 lead. Philadelphia drove down the field in the 4th quarter and scored a touchdown and converted the 2-point conversion to tie the game. And just like that, Washington had no chance. Philly drove down the field late in the fourth quarter and had David Akers kick the game-winning field goal. Andy Reid of course tried to do everything in his power to give the game to Washington.

Jacksonville 3 San Francisco 20
: So much for that Mike Singletary running philosophy. The Niners threw the ball 41 times out of 61 plays. Alex Smith actually looked like a real quarterback in the game completing 27 passes out of 41 attempts for 232 yards and two touchdowns. The Niners defense sacked Jacksonville quarterback David Gerrard six times and forced two fumbles. Jacksonville kicker Josh Scobee also missed two field goals in the game.

Picture of the Day: Bay Area native Captain Sully was honored by the Niners during halftime. He had the honor of standing beside Niners legend Keena Turner.
