1st Down- Week 11

Pittsburgh 24 Kansas City 27 in OT: Not a good couple of weeks for Pittsburgh. They lose to Cincinnati and basically concede the AFC North. Then Troy Polamalu will be out for a month. Then Ben Roethlisberger has to leave the game against Kansas City with a concussion. And if all that wasn't bad enough, then they let Kansas City tie the game late in the 4th quarter and let Kansas City beat them in overtime. Not a good week in Pittsburgh.

Indianapolis 17 Baltimore 15: The Ravens made four big mistakes in this game. 1. They forced 3 Colts turnovers, but were only able to come away with field goals the entire game. 2. Joe Flacco threw an inexcusable interception in the fourth quarter near his own goal line. 3. John Harbuagh burned a timeout before he challenged a play. Then he lost that challenge and was out of timeouts late in the fourth quarter. 4. Ed Reed made an inexcusable lateral during a punt return with time running out. He lateraled the ball, that was fumbled and picked up by Indianapolis. The Ravens are going to regret this game for a long time.

Philadelphia 24 Chicago 20: Well we all knew Jay Cutler would throw an interception in this game. What we didn't know was that he only threw one interception and that interception would come in the worst possible time. I can't really blame Cutler for that interception because the ball was tipped. In the end Cutler played an all right game, he completed some throws and missed some. The Eagles on the other hand, I'm done trying to figure them out. Also Devin Hester lost his pants in this game.

Cincinnati 17 Oakland 20
: On the day Oakland remembered Marquis Cooper, the Raiders played their most inspired game. Bruce Gradkowski, who started his first game since 2006, threw a game-tying touchdown to Louis Murphy with 33 seconds left in the game. Then on the ensuing kickoff, Bengal Andre Caldwell fumbled the kickoff return that was recovered by the Raiders. Sebastian Janikowski kicked the game-winning field goal, a few plays later. A great weekend for East Bay football teams, as Cal also beat their cross-Bay rival in Stanford the day before.

Cleveland 37 Detroit 38: Who knew the most exciting game of the day would be between the Browns and Lions? Cleveland was finally able to break through their terrible offensive streak by scoring four touchdowns, which were also four Brady Quinn touchdowns. But if you needed more proof that Eric Mangini needs to be fired, you just have to look at the end of this game. With Matthew Stafford injured and time running out, Mangini inexplicably calls a timeout. That gave enough time for Stafford to recover and throw a game-winning touchdown. I would fire Mangini today if I ran the Browns.

Washington 6 Dallas 7: This game never happened, okay.
