4 Indians 2 Twins: Aasron Laffey pitched 6 1/3 innings for the Indians to help the team avoid a sweep at the hands of the Twins. Laffey began the year in triple-A, but now has become the most consistent pitcher on the Indians staff. Kerry Wood picked up another save. I have to say, good for him.
5 Diamondback 4 Giants in 12: Brian Wilson could not hold onto a 3-run lead in the nineth, which would help Arizona avoid the sweep by the Giants. Coner Jackson hit a bases loaded single in the 12Th inning to give Arizona the win. Once again the Giants spoil another great start by one of their pitchers. Matt Cain pitched seven innings allowing one run and four hits for the Giants. The story of Giants pitchers lives.
8 Nationals 1 Mets: Oliver Perez went Oliver Perez for the Mets. He pitched in 4 1/3 innings allowing seven runs, nine hits, and two home runs. How Oliver Perez of him. Meanwhile the Nationals have an ace in the making. Jordan Zimmerman looked flawless against the Mets pitching in 5 1/3 innings giving up six hits and one run. While the Nationals do stink, they have a potential front-line starter in Zimmerman.
8 Orioles 5 Rangers: Adam "I am not Pacman" Jones hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to help Baltimore get the win. The Rangers did manage to hit a total of three home runs in the game, but once again their pitching staff let them down. This has been the story of their lives in Arlington.
Worst of the night:
The Twins hit into three double plays in their loss to Cleveland.
The Giants had 14 hits in the game but only managed four runs. That's the Giants for you.
The Mets powerful lineup left six men on base and hit into two double plays.
The Marlins gave up 29 runs to the Phillies while getting swept away.
The Royals left nine men on base in their 3-2 loss to Detroit.
Braves pitcher Kenshin Kawakami gave up eight runs in 4 1/3 innings in Atlanta's loss to the Reds.
White Sox pitcher Scott Linebrick gave up the winning run in Chicago's loss to Toronto.
Khalil Greene lived up to his bad fielding reputation, by committing an error in St. Louis' loss to Chicago.
Andy Pettite and Jorge Posada allowed Jacoby Ellsbury steal home.
Seattle's Adrian Beltre usually has a good glove at third. But he committed an error against Anaheim and has four on the year so far.
UPDATE: By request, I forgot to mention posistion player Cody Ross pitching for the Marlins in their blow out loss to Philly.

(Are you talking to me?)
Video of the Night: This is a conversation with former MLB commisoner Fay Vincent had in 2001. It's old, but very insightful.
Video of the Night, Part 2: Here is the steal by Ellsbury against the Yankees.
For Worst of the Night, don't forget that Cody Ross ended up pitching for the Marlins in the top of the 9th!
