2 Braves 1 Cardinals: Matt Diaz hit a bases loaded single to drive in two runs in the eighth inning to give the Braves the victory. Despite getting six scoreless innings from Kyle Lohse the Cardinals were still denied the victory.
7 Marlins 4 Mets: The Marlins ended their seven game losing streak by beating up Mets reliever Sean Green. With the Mets leading 4-3 in the seventh, Green gave up four runs including a two-run home run to Jorge Cantu. I thought the Mets were suppose to have a stronger bullpen this year?
5 Rangers 4 A's: Nelson Cruz's hit a tie-breaking single in the eighth inning to beat the Oakland A's. Jason Giambi went Bill Buckner in the eighth allowing a ground ball to roll under his glove to allow Hank Blalock to reach base. Cruz then hit the ground ball to break the tie. Matt Holliday continues his suckiness by leaving four men on base for the A's.
2 White Sox 1 Mariners, 1St game/9 Mariners 1 White Sox, 2Nd game: The White Sox beat the Mariners in the first game of the doubleheader despite having as many errors(two) as hits. Paul Konerko's two-run double is all what Chicago needed in the 1St game. The second game went a little differently for the White Sox. The White Sox pitching staff gave up nine runs and 19 hits in the 2Nd game of a doubleheader.

Worst of the Night:
Cole Hammels bad luck continues. Against the Natinals Hammels had to leave the game with a sprained right ankle.
The Seattle Mariners allowed the Chicago White Sox to pick up the victory in the first game of a doubleheader despite Chicago having as many hits(Two) as errors.
Despite the Braves picking up the victory, Jeff Francoeur grounded into two double plays.
Reds pitcher Aaron Harang pitched in five innings giving up six hits, six runs, and one home run.
The A's allowed two errors and hit into two double plays in their loss to Texas.
The Giants left eight men on base in their 5-3 loss to L.A. Ugh!
Spectacularly Bad: After Detroit pitcher Edwin Jackson went six innings without allowing a run to the Yankees, the Detroit relievers brought out their gas cans and matches and burned Comerica Park to the ground. The Detroit relievers allowed 11 runs, eight hits, and two home runs.

Non-related Baseball worst of the night:
The New Jersey Devils allowed the Carolina Hurricanes to score 2 goals in a 48-second span. Worst of all it happened at the end of the game. Carolina went on to win the game and the series from the Devils.
Ozzie Guillen Quote: “That’s a miracle.” The White Sox won the first of a doubleheader against the Mariners despite having as many hits(Two) as errors.
Cole Hammels Quote: Talking about his recent injury problems, Hammels had this to say. "Last time I felt like I was doing really well. This time I felt like I was finally getting in a good grove again. I don't know what else to do but laugh about it." I don't think Phillies fans are laughing about the injury problems Hammels has been having at the start of the year.
