5 Marlins 1 Braves: The Mammals continue their hot streak with their win over the Braves. Marlins only have one loss in the season. Dan Uggla drove in three runs in for the Marlins. Chris Volstad and two Marlins relievers combined for a one-hitter. Kelly Johnson of the Braves hit another home run, his third of the season.
3 Mariners 2 Angels, 10 innings: Ken Griffey Jr. is a winner in his return to Seattle. Franklin Gutierrez leadoff the 10th inning for the Mariners with a double. Gutierrez would also score the winning run when Angels reliever Scott Shields made a throwing error. Griffey went 1-for-3 in his first game back with Seattle since 1999.
7 Yankees 2 Rays: A.J. Burnett has been impressive in his first two games with the Yankees. Burnett went eight innings giving up three hits and two runs with nine strikeouts. Both Nick Swisher and Derek Jeter had home runs for the Yankees. Carlos Pena and Pat Burrell were the only two Rays with RBI's. At least Nick Swisher didn't pitch in this game.
6 A's 5 Red Sox 12 innings: Travis Buck's slow roller to Dustin Pedroia would prove to be the game winner. In the bottom of the 12Th, with the bases loaded and two outs Travis Buck hit a slow roller towards 2Nd base. Rajai Davis was able to score by the time Pedroia wasn't able to get Buck in time at 1St and that would end the game.
Worst of the Night:
- Angels reliever Scott Shields made a throwing error in the 10th inning which allowed the winning run to score.
- Tampa Bay only managed three hits in their game with the Yankees.
- The Braves outfielder Garret Anderson committed two errors in their game with the Marlins.
- Chris Carpenter is most likely headed back to the Disabled List with a strained left rib cage.
