    Thank goodness Football is back.

I actually went to high school with one of Temple's linebackers. That guy scared the poop out of me in physical education classes. When I nearly dropped a frisbee one time, he said if I would have dropped it he would have killed me. I think he meant it.

  3. If I am being generous, I would say this crowd is 100 Villanova fans, 5 Temple fans.

  4. The funny/sad thing is this game gets hyped to death in the city as well.

  5. "He's like Desean Jackson."- Doug Graber

Please Doug. Never compare a Sun Belt player to Desean Jackson.

  6. @ Keith: If you ever want to hear homerism, listen to the Eagles preseason announcers (Don Tollefson, Brian Baldinger, and Hugh Douglas). It's seriously awful.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Him and Brian Baldinger have a lot in common.

/I remember the days when Baldy was Kenny Albert's partner on Fox.
//Fox Sports: so bad they had Brian Baldinger on their 3rd announce team.

  8. "And the usually very accurate Alex Henery." - Don Tollefson.

He's a rookie! And a Training Camp story this year has been his inconsistency.

  9. "People at home are wondering if that is Michael Vick."-Some guy calling the W. Alabama vs N. Alabama game.

  10. The ESPN3.com feed keeps going dead during every commercial break.

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Justin: Everyone at EDSBS is complaining about the same thing as well.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Temple is starting to put the hurt on Villanova. 14-0 in the 2nd.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Nova is really bad or Al Golden really fucked up by leaving Temple.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Temple's O-line is significantly bigger than Villanova's D-line. Nova's not a bad team, but they do not match-up to bigger and better FBS Temple.

And yes, Al Golden really fucked up by leaving Temple.

  15. 5:45 left in the 1st quarter in New York. Andy Reid has burned 2 timeouts in the most meaningless of meaningless preseason games.

/gotta get in midseason form in preseason

    ReplyDelete
  16. Villanova has a DB named Craig James. That's unfortunate.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Fox going with the Albert/Moose/Goose style of announcing for their college games. I don't like this.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Difference between FBS vs. FCS really showing in Philly.

    /somewhere RJBO silently weeps

  19. How did I miss Chuck Cecil saying "He got beat like a stepchild?"

  20. When did Wisconsin start jiggling their keys? Michigan should sue.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Apparently the Jets are charging $50 for general parking for this preseason game. That is not a typo. Fifty dollars for parking!

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Justin: Giants charge 30 bucks for parking.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The Eagles are absolutely ridiculous at running back right now. Eldra Buckley does not stand a chance at keeping his job.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The derp is strong in the Memphis-Miss State game.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Drew Willy sacked himself. Seriously. That was just like Jim Everett against the 49ers in 1989.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Apparently part of Greg McElroy's thumb was broken off tonight. Yeah that's gross.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I might have to watch the 49ers tonight. All these games are blowouts so far.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pierce with another touchdown for Temple. Rinse, lather, repeat. 35-0 Owls.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Idaho starts the season with a halfback option and scores. Looks like I really will watch the Niners tonight.

/I've barely watched them in the preseason.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Villanova is not exactly making a resounding statement to the Big East tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This is getting uglier and uglier at the Linc.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Vince Young got banged up. Mike Kafka got banged up. So now Jason Avant is going to play quarterback.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Never mind. Kafka is back in there. Thankfully.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wisconsin is easily going to put 50 on the Runnin' Rebs

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's a final at the Linc. Temple 42, Villanova 7.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I always forget that most of the games on this Thursday are blowouts. I'm always excited for the start of the season and then all the games are usually over by halftime.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Don Tollefson and Brian Baldinger do not stop talking they just go back and forth and on and on and on until you just want to throw something at your TV screen and say take a breath because all they do is talk and they never stop and they are not even talking about the game anymore because the game is no longer relevant but they still got to talk so they are talking about whatever they want to talk about and it's really annoying and I want it to end soon.
